"As World War II is fought overseas, the Fellowship does its part. An April 1943 article in the Fort Worth (Texas), Star-Telegram
reports that A.A. has reduced war industries worker absenteeism due to
alcoholism. The article states that the A.A. program has helped as many
as 5,000 workers return to their jobs."
